I just have to give another shout out to my love, Acqua Al 2. For those who have not had the pleasure of eating their heavenly food just yet, you must make a reservation and plan a night there soon. I went back this Saturday night and had such a wonderful experience. Our meal was overly indulgent, but it’s the kind of place that makes you want to indulge because every bite is worth it. I tried two new appetizers which both will be “musts” every time moving forward. The strozzapretti al pomodoro was mouth watering: handmade spinach and ricotta cheese balls baked in homemade tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella cheese. It’s hard for me to even express words to describe this spectacular concoction. Also, we split the carpaccio de bresaola which was tender thin slices of filet mignon over a bed of fresh argula, olive oil, and parmesan cheese. Then it was time for the pasta sampler which was a complete homerun as it was all of my favorites: fusilli in a light spinach sauce, penne alla vodka, rigatoni melanzane, gnocchi gorgonzola and fusilli lunghi in a spicy tomato sauce. These pastas are made with so much love and care, and each one exceeds all expectations. We also had delicious chicken dishes… although we were so stuffed and wanted to leave room for dessert so we took a bite each, got them wrapped to go, and then ordered the famous tiramisu. I really could not breathe at the end of the meal I was so full, but it was the most worthwhile stomach ache I have had in a long time. There’s really nothing else I can say other than you are missing out if you do not get over there soon. Time is a wasting…!
