  • Bobby’s Burger Palace - Food Network Titan, Bobby Flay has announced plans to bring his burger concept to the DC area with planned locations in Bethesda, Md; Washington, D.C.; Baltimore, MD
  • SweetGreen – The Georgetown Salad/Yogurt shop will be opening in Ballston in early November!
  • Casa Nonna - My guess is that someone in NYC read @jigolden’s review of Casa Nonna and demanded that they open a location in NYC. Well their wish will come true in Spring 2011.
  • Fired Up Pizzas – A new Food Truck offering wood-fired pizza, can be found at the Bethesda Central Farm Market. (via Y&H)
  • Dangerously Delicious Pies – Mobile pie from the famous Baltimore Bakery that recently expanded to H Street. I hope they serve Pumpkin!
  • The Big Cheese – Little upset about this new food truck, a grilled cheese truck! That is what I wanted to do, I guess I will have to stick with my desk job.  Follow @BigCheeseTruck
  • Rustico Ballston – Finally a nice, big, new restaurant for Ballston with a monstrous beer list developed by Greg Engert – F&W Sommelier of the Year. Britt went to a media preview and will be posting a review next week. Opening October 26th
  • Michel - Michel Richard’s latest restaurant, will be opening in Tyson’s on October 26th as well.
  • International House of Pong – No, it is not related to Ping Pong Dim Sum or Comet Ping Pong, but it will offer table tennis and New American Cuisine in Georgetown.
  • Pizza Paradisio - Opened in Old Town this week. Missy stopped by and this place is HUGE.  Did you know that their URL is EatYourPizza.com — LOVE THAT!
  • Tonic on Top - The Foggy Bottom bar you love, Tonic is renovating their upstairs restaurant into additional bar space.  (Via GoG)
  • Georgia Avenue Meeting House – You know that Gillian Clark that you just saw on Diner’s Drive In’s & Dives? Her next restaurant is planned for March 2011 and it will be serving soul food.
  • Tsunami Sushi and Lounge – More sushi is coming to Columbia Heights in November 2010
  • Red Toque Cafe – Delicious Kabobs in the Shaw neighborhood. PoP has the details.
  • Red Palace – A new bar and music venue set for H Street has had their opening delayed till Early November- (GoG)
  • ChiDogo - A new competitor for Ben’s? I doubt it, however Chicago style dog’s are heading to U street. I wonder if Obama will visit or if he will stay loyal to Ben’s?
  • Redline – A new gastro-pub sports bar will be taking over the old Indebleu location. It will be “American Food with a French Flair”
  • Founding Farmers - The farm fresh restaurant has secured a lease for a new Potomac, MD location.
