I have been holding off on this post mainly because I really didn’t want to believe that a Greek place opened less than 15 feet from my office and I didn’t like it. Good news, I waited for a few months after my initial opening week dining experience and they seem to have gotten it together.
I recently had lunch there with a few of my coworkers and it was pretty good. I had chicken souvlaki, cucumber and tomato salad and shared hummus and baba ganoush. The cucumber and tomato pieces in the salad were way too big and lacked flavor but the dips and the sandwich were great. I’ve also heard their grass-feed beef burgers are really good and under $5.00 (including fries) make it a bargin in Bethesda! The service is still a little hectic but to be fair they were extremely busy when we were there.
I’ll make sure to check out the gyro on my next visit… I hear it is delicious.

I would like to add a few words if I may. Haven’t posted in a while but you may remebered me from such relationships as Lindsey’s husband and Chad’s antagonist. Anyway, being a Bethes(duh) resident I have frequented Yamas quite a bit and have a few recommendations.
Brit, you will not he disappointed in the gyro. Its fantastic and the best I’ve had outside of new York. They also have great grape leaves and the village salad fills out my usual pick up order. They have a very convenient online ordering system and are now one of my go to choices for dinner on my home from work. I probably go once a week on average.
The bottom line is the food is great, the prices are reasonable and although its not the exact same ethnicity or menu, I don’t know why anyone would ever eat at Moby Dick’s again.
Cheers
