New Tapas Bar Coming to Ballston

by Chad on April 7, 2011

Upper Crust Gourmet closed on March 27th for a three-week renovation that will transform this Ballston coffee shop into a new tapas bar. We’re being told that the kitchen and seating area will be redone during the renovation.

Hopefully they will still offer Illy coffee and their fabulous croissants, we’ll just have to wait and see.

We’re not sure if it is the same owners or not, we’ll check with them and get back to you as soon as we have more information.

Just confirmed it is the same owners. We think that is a good thing. I have always had excellent service there.

So glad it’s the same owners. The man who runs that place is the nicest and most accomodating person!

Hope they find a good cook. They had an excellant cook who left and the food went down after that.
Also, hope the owner has done an about face: cooks tried to bring different daily specials in and the owner would stop it and want the same old specials.
