There’s a new coffee spot in town, and I think it has all of the right stuff. The Coffee Bar recently opened on the corner of 12th and S Streets NW directly across from Garrison Elementary School in Shaw. It lives in a beautiful row house on a tree lined street that has been converted to a comfortable spot to enjoy a cup of java. I checked it out this weekend and I really enjoyed the vibe and the coffee. There are a few couches, some bar stools along the counter area, and a high-top table with a bunch of spots to perch. Additionally, The Coffee Bar provides free wi-fi which makes it a great place to catch up on work, reading, or even blog. I also saw many people enjoying a good book or reading The New York Times. The Coffee Bar serves Ceremony, Handsome Coffee Roasters, and Batdorf & Bronson. Additionally, there are bagels and pastries aplenty for snacks should you be interested in a treat. I’m really happy to welcome this great spot to the neighborhood, and I plan to spend a lot of time at The Coffee Bar in the upcoming months.
